Development of Regional Joint Master Program in Maritime Environmental Protection
Within the frame of the project capacity building MEP&M Development of Regional Joint Master Program in Maritime Environmental Protection it took place the last training (Task 3.4.1) on 27 September. The main objective of this task was to provide teaching staff from Montenegro and Albania with additional knowledge on pollution and land-sea interactions. Specifically, this training was entitled “Land and maritime effluents as sources of marine pollution: Technologies for their minimisation” and was developed by Prof. Javier Moreno Andrés from the University of Cadiz (Spain). The activity was attended by a total of 10 participants from the host universities.
The contents addressed in the training were based on the importance of the SDGs for coastal and marine pollution. Indicators on coastal pollution and the progress being made worldwide were presented. In the training, the activities carried out on land and in the marine environment that have an impact on the marine environment, and which pollutants are generated in the different activities, were developed in depth.
