Stablishing collaboration with UPS (Ecuador)
The Ph.D. student, Paola Duque, has come to our laboratories at UCA/INMAR to assess the effectiveness of UV-LEDs in harmful phytoplankton. She focuses on freshwater ecosystems, looking for sustainable water treatment solutions for application in Ecuador.
In addition, Javier Moreno was invited to give a talk to degree students at UPS, in order to learn about HABs, impacts, and potential technological solutions.
